Comments
For some reason, comments are being funny and not being able to be posted to the individual posts that they were commented on, but they did go to my email. So, here are the comments that were posted over the week:
June 3rd:
Glad you arrived safely. I will pass the blog info to the WNL group this week so that more folks will have an opportunity to keep up with what is happening. Blessings on all, Bill
Nice job everyone! Your loyal readers would love to see a group photo...
-Phil Davis, Sean H's Uncle
I'm not gonna lie a berry with a saw is kinda scary but super impressive. I hope this wasn't just a camera shot. -Heather Walker
June 4th:
Looking Good! Have a great blessed week. Bill
I think about the New Orleans team everyday and hope all is well. I love looking at the pictures and wish I could be there with you. Tonight is WNL and know that you will be missed. I sure hope Hunter taught someone else how to make the tea. What I do know is that it will be a quiet ride home from choir tonight. LOL Katie, I will miss your Wednesday hug and look forward to seeing you soon. Blessings to each of you and be safe. May the excitement of working for the Lord keep you going the rest of the week. Be safe and hugs and kisses to all, MAH
June 7th:
Will be praying for you as you travel home tomorrow. Bill

Wow! Now can ask your youth to help finish the Ivy East and Ivy West repairs? Seriously, God never looks at our ability, He asks only for our availability. If our heart is open He will bless us any of us with the skills needed to labor ijn His name. Thanks be to God for each youth and adult who made the trip, opening their heart to serve and hands to minister! LOL Miss Pat

We've made it home!
All 15 of us made it home safely tonight at about 9:30pm...thank you to those that have been praying for us! Thank you to those that kept up with our blog...what a great tool it was over the week! Thank you to those that posted comments...they went to my email that hasn't been looked at in over a week, so I will post all of those tomorrow (really it's already today...we're back in Eastern Standard time and I am typing this from the computer and not the cell phone!)

On our way home
After a great free day on Friday at a water/amusement park where we enjoyed great fellowship together and a great Friday night closing worship service, we are on our way home today (Saturday). This picture represents how the team has looked for most of the way home, except when they woke up and were very hungry and opinionated!

Cafe du monde
After eating the beignets we gathered all the powdered sugar that was left and put it down a funnel. We are resourceful!
Thursday...
In the park...
Wednesday nights dinner was in the park...that hasn't seen much renovation since Katrina. We're pretty sure the bathrooms in the park look just like they did after Katrina hit. After a long hike we finally found a makeshift bathroom. The pictures are above. There are no walls...and yes that's a usb cord multitasking as a toilet paper holder!

Pray!
Please pray for our team as some are feeling weary. Probably from heat exhaustion. Pray the Lord strengthens us. That we would be renewed by His Holy Spirit! Amen!

Our project
I know all are interested in what we are doing. Well today we are building a kitchen for the people who cook for all the volunteers that come and help plus the locals that need assistance. These wonderful people are cooking for us all week!
We arrived!
We finally arrived after being on the road for 14 hours-and having been together for 16. This is the first trip that we've all been able to fit in one vehicle so we definitely unified now. We are up now about to start this glorious day from Jesus!

First gas station
This was our first of many stops at a gas station. We soon learned that we were getting 8.5 miles to the gallon!
